According to the DGHS, there are 33311 seats in 31 government medical colleges and 222 seats in 9 private medical colleges in the country.
MBBS Admission 2020 Requirements
- Applicants must be citizens of Bangladesh who have passed SSC or 201 equivalent or equivalent in 2018 and HSC or equivalent (with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) in 2019 or 2020
- Applicants who have passed SSC before 2017 are not eligible to apply
- General candidates should have a minimum total GPA of 9.0 in SSC and HSC or equivalent, and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in each of the SSC and HSC in Bangladesh and foreign education programs.
- Total GPA of SSC and HSC or equivalent for all tribal candidates and non-tribal candidates in CHT district.0.0. Applications are not acceptable if the applicants individually get a GPA of 3.00, but there are also rules for foreign students who want to be admitted to private medical/dental colleges.
- GP 3.5 for all types of candidates in Biology at HSC level
